Access and Outreach 

Attracting applications from the widest pool of prospective students is key to Magdalen’s continuing academic strength as a vibrant intellectual community. One of Magdalen’s main priorities is to demonstrate to young people from all backgrounds that Magdalen can offer them an unrivalled opportunity to realise their full potential.

Through a programme of school visits, taster days, residentials and online resources, our work focuses on encouraging young people with the greatest potential to consider studying at Magdalen. Our goal is to ensure that students from all backgrounds are given the resources they need to make informed and competitive applications to study here.

How your support could make a difference

A gift to our Access and Outreach programme will help us to support applications from the broadest possible pool of prospective students who have the potential to benefit from and contribute to the extraordinary opportunities on offer here.

• A gift of £10 could cover the cost of one prospective student to visit the College for a taster day and experience what the academic and social life is like at Magdalen.

• A gift of £250 could cover the cost of a pupil attending one of our Law or Physics and Engineering residentials.

• A gift of £1,300 could support one student on the Access Project at our partnered Ashfield School in Nottingham, which offers personalised tuition and in-school support for University applications.
