One of the things that makes Magdalen so special is the range of extra-curricular opportunities on offer here, in addition to academic study. The Student Opportunity Fund (in memory of former President Anthony Smith) enables our students to take full advantage of all the extra-curricular opportunities available.
The Student Opportunity Fund enables students to enrich their College experience, develop transferable skills, build confidence and enhance future career prospects.
In memory of former President, Anthony Smith CBE (1938-2021)
The Student Opportunity Fund has been created in memory of Anthony Smith, President of Magdalen College from 1988 – 2005. Tony was committed to ensuring that Magdalen provided the most wonderful personal and educational experience for its students. This fund will honour his legacy by ensuring that future generations of students continue to enjoy a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities at Magdalen.
